Meet the authors at the forthcoming DH Lawrence Festival in Eastwood.
Steve and Chris are giving a talk titled 'The Education of an Author' on Saturday September 7th at 11 a.m. at the DH Lawrence Heritage Centre, Mansfield Road, Eastwood.
Lawrence's educational experiences took him through major sites of the 'culture wars' of his day and provided him with insights into the shortcomings and limitations of the new school system, which were to be used to brilliant effect in his early novels and short stories.
On Monday 9th September Steve is leading a walk titled 'Re-tracing the Nottingham of Sons and Lovers'. Meet at the left lion in the Old Market Square - no need to book. Walk will last approximately two hours.
